T4 Detector

T4 Detector shown with optional Diverter Gate and User Interface

The T4 Detector detects the presence of Coded Wire Tags of any format. It can be used as a stand-alone unit with the T4 Gate and User Interface to divert and count tagged fish. It can also be connected to a Mark IV Automatic Tag Injector and used as a quality control device (in place of the original QCD). The central fish tube has inside dimensions of 3.75 inches high x 2.25 inches wide, allowing fish that are larger than possible
with NMT’s QCD detector. The T4 is also less sensitive to mechanical vibration and other disturbances than the V-Detector making it easier to obtain reliable, high quality results.

The stand-alone T4 detector consists of the main detector unit, a power supply (both 120VAC and battery supplies are available), and a tag indicator that sounds a loud audible beep and flashes a bright LED when a tag is detected. Most users will want the adjustable, sturdy legs and the funnel for convenient manual feeding of fish into the detector and for providing a stream of water through the detector.

Many operators will also want the T4 Gate in order to divert exiting fish to one side if tagged and to the other side if untagged. The exit ports of the gate can fit to standard 4” ABS pipe for easy integration with any fish facility.

The T4 carries the standard NMT Warranty.
